Instructions for completing ISLES-S 3
NOTE - a more complete set of instructions is available in task stream
Description of tasks:
1. In consultation with your CT, plan a full lesson to be delivered in your internship site. This lesson must align to both CCSS and NC Essential Standards and must incorporate at least one of the ISLES-S strategies identified in the previous modules (ISLES-S 1 and 2). Use your lesson plan format linked here. Upload to ISLES-S 3 taskstream assignment as “Lesson Plan.”
2. Complete the pre-planning activity linked here. Upload to ISLES-S 3 as “Pre-planning activity.”
3. Deliver your full lesson in your internship and have your CT video that lesson.
4. Using the ISLES-S 3 rubric linked here as a guide, chose a 10 minute video segment from your full lesson. Trim your full video to include only that 10-minute segment and upload that video to taskstream as “ISLES-S 3 video” in a format acceptable for taskstream. Be sure your 10-minute segment includes your usage of one of the ISLES-S strategies as well as addressing the elements reflected in the rubric.
5. Complete the “Post-teaching” activity linked here. Upload to ISLES-S 3 as “Post-teaching activity.”
6. Once you have uploaded your (1) Lesson Plan, (2) Pre-planning activity, (3) ISLES-S 3 video, and (4) Post-teaching activity to taskstream, be sure to submit your ISLES-S 3 assignment to taskstream by clicking the “Submit” button (look for the dancing lightbulb).
