Goals of the TQP secondary reform initiative at ECU
The ECU secondary reform was based on four primary goals:
- To prepare teachers to implement the new Common Core and North Carolina Essential Standards.
- To train teachers to use technology effectively as an instructional tool.
- To develop teachers who know and are able to use a core set of instructional strategies across all content areas.
- To increase teachers’ capacity to incorporate ELL supports, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and interactive multi-touch features into their curriculum and instruction.
