With all of the transitions to online/virtual learning and with an uncertain future of what our profession will hold, it is imperative that we begin to look at best practices in engaging 9-12 learners in online learning environments. There is a lot of noise out there right now on what works and what doesn't and we need to help filter through and find those high impact strategies that really engage online learners. The purpose of this thread is to seek and share best practice strategies for engaging online learners. These can be links to academic articles, blog posts from trusted "celebrity" teachers, or practice reports from trusted news sources (like MindShift or edutopia). What we want is a collection of the top tips for when we must teach online. Share as often as you find good ideas and be sure to engage in some back and forth about what works and what doesn't. Let's build our community of support starting now!
